If your club or garden group is looking for a speaker, Christine Dakin, with 25 years horticultural experience of both growing and professional gardening, is normally available. "Gardening on Clay" - some plants which are unhappy in clay soil but many more that are; based on 10 years gardening at Bridge Nursery in Warwickshire "My Life as a Jobbing Gardener" - Reminiscences of people, places, gardens and gardening quirks "Beautiful Borders" - a general pot-pourri talk "Extending the Season" - no need for you garden to be dull after spring: plants for mid-summer to late autumn "Winter Gardening" - things to do and plants to enjoy in the winter months "Grasses and Bamboos" - grasses and bamboos to grow and not to grow! plus how to care for them. Talks take the form of a lecture illustrated with slides and last between 30 to 60 minutes. Alternatively, we welcome group evening visits during the summer months, please contact us for details.
